RIYADH, Sunday, April 28, 2024 (WAFA) - Saudi Arabia said today during the World Economic Forum that the international community has failed the people of Gaza, reiterating its call for the establishment of a Palestinian state.
The Saudi Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al-Saud, stressed during the Forum that ‘the situation in Gaza is a catastrophe by all standards, including on a humanitarian level, stating that the situation in Gaza represents a complete failure of the entire political system in dealing with this crisis.
He stressed that the region will not only focus on solving the current crisis; but will also look into resolving the larger issue.
He affirmed genuine commitment to the two-state solution as a credible and irreversible path towards a Palestinian state, which he stressed is the only reasonable and reliable solution that ensures never having to return to the same situation after two, three, or four years.
