Japanese Government declare continued support for the two-state solution

TOKYO, Tuesday, April 23, 2024 (WAFA) – The Japanese Government today declared its continued support for the two-state solution in the Middle East despite the US veto on Palestine’s bid for full membership of the United Nations.

Japan’s Foreign Minister Yōko Kamikawa stated that her country voted in favor of the Palestine’s bid for full membership of the United Nations as a means to guarantee peace in the Middle East.

She reiterated her calls for “an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and the continued flow of humanitarian aid” given the ongoing Israeli aggression on the blockaded Gaza Strip.
