MOSCOW, Thursday, April 11, 2024 (WAFA) - Russian Foreign Minister, Sergei Lavrov, and the UN Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, Tor Wennesland, called for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza conflict during talks in Moscow, according to the Russian foreign ministry.
The Russian foreign ministry stressed following a meeting in Moscow the importance of an immediate ceasefire and the provision of safe and unhindered access to all those affected and in need in Gaza.
The two officials also discussed the possibilities of reviving the peace process and settling the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, after the end of the war.
The meeting’s agenda included a detailed discussion of the current situation in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict zone, primarily in the Gaza Strip, with a focus on expediting a ceasefire.
