ATHENS, Sunday, April 7, 2024 (WAFA) – Greek main opposition party SYRIZA strongly condemned Israel's killing of seven aid workers from the World Central Kitchen (WCK) in the Gaza Strip.

“SYRIZA Progressive Alliance strongly condemns the killing by the Israeli forces, of seven members of the humanitarian organisation World Central Kitchen that were delivering food to vulnerable people in Gaza, and we express our most sincere condolences to their loved ones,” said Rena Douru, the party’s head of international department, in a written response when asked by Anadolu about the party’s stance regarding the tragic attack.

Dourou said humanitarian workers are protected by international humanitarian law and full conformity of all members of the international community with its provisions is expected.
