RAMALLAH, Sunday, January 28, 2024 (WAFA) - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned, in the strongest terms, the meeting held by colonial terrorist organizations in occupied Jerusalem on Sunday.
The meeting, which was attended by 11 ministers of Israel's new right-wing coalition government and 15 Knesset members, called for the recolonization of the Gaza Strip and the northern occupied West Bank.
The ministry, in a statement, condemned the positions raised by extremist ministers and colonists and their leaders during the meeting, including slogans that stated that the only way to bring about peace is to transfer Palestinians.
“This meeting and its agenda once again reveal the true face of the Israeli right-wing coalition government, including its rejection of peace and persistence in pursuing the occupation, colonialism and the apartheid regime.” said the ministry.
The Ministry further held the Israeli government, headed by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, fully and directly responsible for such incitement calls.
It called on the international community and the US administration to exert genuine pressure on Netanyahu to curb these incitement calls, which the ministry stressed are being used by terrorist colonists as a green light to commit more crimes and violations against Palestinians, their rights, land, properties and religious sites.
The ministry urged the imposition of deterrent sanctions on terrorist colonists and their leaders and those standing behind them from the political level.
