Jordan condemns heinous Israeli massacre in a school in Jabalia

GAZA, Saturday, November 18, 2023 (WAFA) – Jordan has strongly condemned the heinous Israeli war crimes in Gaza, the latest of which were the massacres carried out in the UNRWA-un Al-Fakhura School and Tel Al-Zaatar schools in Jabalia, north of the Gaza Strip. These two massacres resulted in hundreds of casualties among civilian families seeking refuge at the two schools.

Ambassador Sufyan Qudah, the official spokesperson for the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, affirmed the kingdom's firm rejection and condemnation of these Israeli atrocities, which violate universal human values, ethics, and the rules of international humanitarian law, particularly the Geneva Convention on the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War of 1949.

He emphasized that the continued absence of justice and protection for Palestinians, along with the serious violations of international law and humanitarian law, represents a dangerous deterioration that must immediately stop. He called for an effective international action to stop the brutal aggression in Gaza.

Qudah stressed the urgent need for collective efforts to stop the ongoing Israeli aggression in Gaza, including attacks on civilians, civilian infrastructure, schools, hospitals, and places of worship.

The spokesperson called on the international community, international organizations, especially the UN Security Council, to take all necessary measures and actions to halt the tragedy resulting from this Israeli aggression.
