GAZA, Sunday, November 12, 2023 (WAFA) – Israeli warplanes continued tonight to bomb the vicinity of Al-Shifa Hospital, west of Gaza City, targeting anyone moving outside the hospital.
WAFA correspondent, who is currently at Al-Shifa Medical Complex, said that the hospital is still under the occupation’s drone and artillery attacks, which target anyone who moves in its vicinity with bullets and missiles.
He added that five buildings of the Al-Shifa Hospital were bombed by the occupation aircraft and artillery after they shelled and destroyed the old cardiac department building on the western side of the complex.
As a result of the ongoing Israeli bombing and the depletion of fuel, five premature babies have died due to a lack of oxygen or fuel to run the generator to power the incubators. Seven people receiving treatment at the hospital were also killed.
According to the International Committee of the Red Cross, there are difficulties in evacuating Al-Shifa Medical Complex, as there are more than 60 patients in intensive care, over 40 premature infants, in the incubation departments, and more than 500 patients in the dialysis departments.
Earlier today, the occupation aircraft targeted the western and northern areas of Gaza City, namely Sheikh Radwan, Tal Al-Hawa, Al-Karamah Towers, Al-Maqousi, Sheikh Ajleen, Al-Rimal, and Al-Nasr. Ambulances have not been able to reach the targeted places to evacuate the killed and injured people, sources said.
