GAZA, Wednesday, November 1, 2023 (WAFA) - Egyptian ambulances transferred dozens of critically injured Palestinians, who were wounded in the ongoing aggression on the Gaza Strip for the 26th day in a row, into Egyptian territory to receive the necessary treatment in Sheikh Zuweid and Al-Arish hospitals in North Sinai.
80 cases will be admitted throughout the day to Egyptian hospitals, where they will enter easily, using ID cards only.
The Governor of North Sinai, Major General Mohammed Shusha, confirmed that the hospitals in North Sinai are ready to receive those injured in the Gaza Strip as these hospitals include 300 beds, in addition to recovery beds, etc.
He also referred to the establishment of the field hospital in Sheikh Zuweid, which raised the governorate’s capacity to 350 beds, noting that hospitals in the canal line governorates and central hospitals in the capital and other governorates.
Major General Shousha explained, in a press statement, that there is a full medical team at the Rafah border crossing, whose mission is to evaluate cases and transfer them to hospitals, explaining that Rafah is the first city located on the border line, and 20 kilometers away is Sheikh Zuweid, which has a central hospital and a field hospital, and 20 kilometers away is Sheikh Zuweid, which has a central hospital and a field hospital. Al-Arish Hospital, which will receive difficult cases, noting that recovery places have been established near each hospital.
