RAMALLAH, Tuesday, October 31, 2023 (WAFA) - Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh today said that not calling for an immediate ceasefire in the Israeli war on Gaza is a green light for Israel to continue its aggression and genocide against the Palestinian people, stressing total rejection of all attempts to forcefully displace the Palestinian people from their land.
“Our priority is a ceasefire, the entry of relief aid and fuel, the restoration of electricity and water to the Gaza Strip, and the start of a political track based on United Nations resolutions, international legitimacy, and the Arab Peace Initiative to achieve the two-state solution and the establishment of the Palestinian state on the 1967 borders with Jerusalem as its capital,” said the Prime Minister, stressing that no partial solution will be accepted.
The Prime Minister made these remarks during his meeting at his Ramallah office with the United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator, Martin Griffiths, in the presence of the Humanitarian Coordinator in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, Lynn Hastings.
