Chinese foreign minister affirms his country’s firm stance toward Palestinian issue during call with Malki

NEW YORK, Tuesday, October 24, 2023 (WAFA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Riyad al-Malki received a phone call from China's foreign minister Wang Yi, during which the latter affirmed his country’s firm stance toward the Palestinian issue.

Minister Yi stressed China’s readiness to cooperate in achieving a ceasefire, bringing in emergency humanitarian aid, protecting the lives of civilians, and preventing displacement.

He also condemned the Israeli attacks on hospitals and schools, which target civilians and violate international law, and stressed the need to stop the mass killing and the displacement policy.

He further warned against attempts to liquidate the Palestinian cause.

Wang Yi also reaffirmed his country's position that peace will not be achieved in the Middle East without a solution to the Palestinian issue, implementing the principle of the two-state solution, and embodying the State of Palestine.

He added that the international community must bear its responsibilities in the face of the disaster that is occurring before our eyes, calling on the international community to play a constructive role in reducing the intensity of the conflict and not fueling it.

The Chinese Minister also called for serious work to find a just, lasting and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue, and expressed his country's readiness to provide everything necessary in such difficult circumstances.
