TUBAS, October 20, 2026 (WAFA) — For the 36th consecutive day, Israeli occupation forces continue to besiege the Ras al-Ahmar area, isolating it from its surroundings.
Abdullah Bisharat, head of the Atuf and Ras al-Ahmar Village Council, reported that the occupation forces maintain their blockade of the community and have closed off all access routes.
This has forced 19 Palestinian families to leave the area so far.
Prior to these events, 47 Palestinian families had been residing in the targeted community for months.
For several months, the Atuf and Ras al-Ahmar area has been subjected to extensive land-clearing operations by the occupation, aimed at constructing a 22-kilometer-long and 50-meter-wide military road.
The road is intended to stretch from the Ein Shibli checkpoint, southeast of Tubas, to the Tayasir checkpoint, east of the city.
