RAMALLAH, Sunday, October 8, 2023 (WAFA) – Prime Minister Mohammed Shtayyeh discussed, during a phone call with the United Kingdom Foreign Secretary James Cleverly, the ongoing escalation against the besieged Gaza Strip.
Shtayyeh held Israel fully responsible for what is happening and accused it of creating a climate of hatred, violence, incitement, and of violating international law.
"We have always warned of the danger of the repercussions that would result from continuing the siege on our people in the Gaza Strip, continuing to storm cities, towns, villages, and camps, violating sanctities, attacking Muslim and Christian worshipers, and spitting on monks," said Shtayyeh during the phone call.
He stressed that the international alignment with Israel encourages it to commit more crimes in the Gaza Strip against our people, affirming that: “We are one people; either in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, or in the diaspora.”
“Now, the world is required to stop the aggression against Gaza and create a political horizon that meets the rights of our people,” Shtayyeh told Cleverly.
