Occupation forces teargas Palestinians as settlers storm the Ibrahimi Mosque

HEBRON, Friday, November 18, 2022 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces today fired teargas at Palestinians’ homes in the city of Hebron, south of the occupied West Bank, as hundreds of illegal Israeli settlers stormed the archaeological Ibrahimi Mosque in the old city, according to local sources.

Aref Jaber, a local Palestinian activist, told WAFA that hundreds of Israeli settlers broke into the holy site under the pretext of celebrating the Jewish holidays. He added that soldiers who were accompanying the settlers fired teargas at homes of Palestinians in the vicinity of the site.

The Israeli occupation forces also shut down several roads in the area during the provocative incursion of the Israeli settlers into the holy site, denying movement of Palestinians into and out of the area.
