Rashida Tlaib calls on Washington to end bias toward Israel in Gaza war

WASHINGTON, September 14, 2026 (WAFA) – U.S. Representative Rashida Tlaib has called on the U.S. administration to end its bias toward Israel and cease its support for the ongoing Israeli war on the Gaza Strip.

In a post on the platform X yesterday, Sunday, Tlaib stated that "genocide is still ongoing," emphasizing that "there has never been a ceasefire."

She added that children bear the brunt of Israeli attacks, noting: "Children are being killed by U.S.-made bombs, and survivors suffer lifelong psychological trauma." Tlaib urged the U.S. administration to "stop supporting Israeli ethnic cleansing operations."

Medical sources announced the day before yesterday that the death toll in the Gaza Strip—since the ceasefire took effect on October 11—had risen to 1,369, with 4,627 people injured.

This brings the total toll of the genocidal war waged by Israeli occupation forces on the Gaza Strip to 73,783 killed and 174,738 injured since October 7, 2023.
