CAIRO, September 14, 2026 (WAFA) – Naji Al-Naji, Cultural Advisor at the Palestinian Embassy in Egypt , announced that the President of the State of Palestine, Mahmoud Abbas, will arrive in Egypt tomorrow for a two-day official visit. During the visit, he will hold a summit with his counterpart, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, to discuss the latest developments regarding the Palestinian cause, as well as Arab and international issues of mutual interest.

The President's visit to Egypt takes place within the framework of ongoing consultation and full coordination between the Egyptian and Palestinian leaderships. It also aims to discuss ways to ensure the success of the strenuous efforts being made by Egypt—in cooperation with regional and international partners—to provide protection and relief to the Palestinian people, reconstruct what has been destroyed by the ongoing war against them, and mobilize all efforts to end the Israeli occupation of Palestinian land and realize an independent State of Palestine with East Jerusalem as its capital.
