RAMALLAH, September 14, 2026 (WAFA) – The overall Consumer Price Index CPI for Palestine during August 2026 recorded a slight increase by 0.09% compared with July 2026 (by 1.32% in in the West Bank, and by 0.95% in Jerusalem J1, while it decreases by 1.73% in Gaza Strip).
The changes in Palestinian CPI during August 2026 were traced back to changes in prices of the following expenditure sub groups compared with previous month:

The Palestinian CPI during August 2026 decreased by 34.25% compared with August 2025 (58.39% in Gaza Strip. While, the index increased by 3.30% in Jerusalem J1*, and by 3.27% in the West Bank**).
