RAMALLAH, Monday, August 22, 2022 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces today and last night detained at least 20 Palestinians from various parts of the occupied territories, according to local and security sources.
They said that Israeli forces rounded up eight Palestinians - four fathers and their teenage sons - after breaking into and searching their houses in al-Khader town, south of Bethlehem.
The soldiers detained three others and ransacked the houses of their families in al-Asakra village, southeast of Bethlehem.
In Hebron district, the sources confirmed a raid in Taffuh town, west of the southern West Bank city, resulting in the detention of another.
In Ramallah district, a convoy of military vehicles stormed Burqa village, southeast of the city where the soldiers broke into several houses, conducted thorough searches, and detained four people.
In Nablus district in the north of the West Bank, soldiers detained two others; one from Nablus city and the other a former prisoner from Zawata town, northwest of Nablus city.
In Tulkarm district, soldiers detained one person after raiding Tulkarm refugee camp. During the raid, the soldiers rammed their military jeeps into a number of vehicles parked along the road, causing damage to them.
In occupied East Jerusalem, forces detained Fatah activist Shadi Matour after storming his house in Beit Hanina neighborhood, and another from the Old City of Jerusalem.
