RAMALLAH, January 8, 2026 (WAFA) — Five Palestinian citizens, including three children, were injured on Thursday evening after Israeli occupation forces stormed the city of Al-Bireh.

Local sources said Israeli forces raided Al-Quds Street in Al-Bireh and opened fire at a vehicle near the Orabi Junction, without causing injuries to those inside. The forces also fired tear gas canisters, leading to the suffocation of two young men, and assaulted three children after detaining them.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said its crews treated two cases of suffocation caused by tear gas inhalation at the scene, while three children who sustained injuries after being severely beaten by Israeli forces were transferred to hospital for medical treatment.
