KHAN YOUNIS, January 8, 2026 (WAFA) — Three Palestinian civilians, including children, were killed and dozens injured on Thursday after Israeli occupation forces shelled the city of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip.
WAFA correspondent reported that Israeli drones targeted a tent sheltering displaced members of the Al-Abadla family in the Al-Mawasi area, west of Khan Younis. The attack killed three people, including children, whose bodies were severely burned, and wounded three others, one of them in critical condition.
The Israeli army has killed more than 71,400 people, mostly women and children, and injured over 171,000 others in a brutal offensive since October 2023 that has left the enclave in ruins.
Despite the ceasefire in place since October 11, the Israeli army has continued its attacks, killing 424 Palestinians and wounding 1,189 others, according to local health authorities.
