JENIN, January 9, 2026 (WAFA) — Israeli occupation forces raided the towns of Meithalun and Sanur, south of Jenin, at dawn on Friday.
Local sources said Israeli forces stormed Meithalun, raided several homes, and converted some of them into military posts. A number of residents were detained and questioned on the spot, and were later released.
Israeli military vehicles also broke into the town of Sanur, where soldiers raided and searched several homes and vandalized their contents.
Towns and villages across Jenin governorate have been subjected to repeated Israeli incursions, involving home raids and the conversion of houses into military posts, since the start of the ongoing assault on Jenin city and its refugee camp, which is approaching its second year.
