NABLUS, January 9, 2026 (WAFA) — Israeli colonists attacked the Mixed Secondary School in the village of Jalud, south of Nablus, at dawn on Friday, setting fire to a classroom and spraying racist and hostile slogans on its walls, causing extensive material damage to the school’s facilities.
Palestinian security and local sources told WAFA that the attack took place in the early morning hours, when colonists infiltrated the school campus, ignited a fire inside a classroom, and then withdrew from the site, leaving behind racist graffiti intended to spread fear and intimidation among students and teachers.
Director General of Education in Southern Nablus Samer Al-Jamal condemned the attack, describing it as a direct assault on the educational process and students' right to safe education.
He called on human rights organizations and international bodies to intervene urgently to put an end to the repeated attacks by colonists against schools.
Jalud Mixed Secondary School has been subjected to repeated attacks by Israeli colonists in recent years.
