RAMALLAH, Tuesday, March 22, 2022 (WAFA) – Israeli forces today and last night detained at least 12 Palestinians from various parts of the occupied territories, according to local and Palestinian security sources.
They said that Israeli forces re-arrested two former prisoners after storming their houses in Abu Shukheidim village, northeast of the central West Bank city of Ramallah.
The soldiers detained three others, including a father and his son, and ransacked their houses in Jalazone refugee camp, north of Ramallah.
In the southern West Bank, the sources said soldiers raided Tuqu town, east of Bethlehem, and detained one person.
Soldiers detained another and thoroughly searched his family house in Hebron.
Military vehicles broke into al-Tuwaneh and al-Juwaya, two of the hamlets making up Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron, where soldiers broke into several homes and tampered with their contents, wreaking havoc inside and causing considerable damage.
The houses belong to the coordinator of the Protection and Resilience Committees, Fouad al-Amour, his father and brothers.
In the northern West Bank, soldiers detained one person after storming his house in the Nablus city.
They also carried out a similar raid in Awarta town, southeast of the city, resulting in the detention of another.
In Jerusalem, police detained one person from the vicinity of Bab al-Silsila (Chains Gate), one of the gates leading to Jerusalem’s flashpoint Al-Aqsa Mosque compound.
Another was detained in Jerusalem’s neighborhood of Silwan.
