HEBRON, Friday, February 25, 2022 (WAFA) - Israeli occupation forces ordered today a halt on the construction of a Palestinian-owned poultry slaughterhouse, an animal barn and a water well in the village of Khallet al-Qern, to the south of Hebron city in the occupied West Bank, according to local sources.
Fo'ad Le'mour, a local anti-colonization activist, told WAFA that the structures that are the subject of the Israeli stop-construction order belong to Khader Basal, a Palestinian resident of neighboring Yatta town.
The village is located in an area classified as Area C, the more than two-thirds of the occupied West Bank under full Israeli military and civil control, where Israel rarely or never issues construction permits to Palestinians while it offers Israeli settlers there unrestricted freedom of construction.
