GAZA, December 16, 2025 (WAFA) – Medical sources announced on Tuesday that the death toll in the Gaza Strip has risen to 70,667, the majority of whom are children and women, since the start of the Israeli offensive on October 7, 2023.
The same sources explained that the number of injuries has risen to 171,151 since the start of the offensive, while a number of victims remain trapped under the rubble, inaccessible to ambulance and rescue teams.
They indicated that two bodies were recovered from under the rubble and six injuries were admitted to Gaza Strip hospitals in the past 24 hours. The total number of fatalities and injuries since the ceasefire agreement on October 11, 2023, has reached 393 martyrs and 1,074 wounded, with 634 bodies recovered.
Meanwhile, health sources announced the death of the infant Muhammad Khalil Abu Al-Khair (two weeks old) as a result of a sharp drop in body temperature due to the extreme cold. He arrived at the hospital two days ago and was admitted to intensive care, but he passed away yesterday.
