RAMALLAH, Monday, January 25, 2021 (WAFA) – Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov welcomed the holding of Palestinian general elections in May.
In a letter Russia's Ambassador to Palestine, Gocha Buachidze, today delivered to Riyad Malki, Palestine's Foreign Minister, Lavrov expressed Russia's welcome of the elections and its full support for the Palestinian leadership's efforts to end the intra-Palestinian division and reunite the country.
Malki expressed his appreciation for Lavrov's position and his unyielding support for the Palestinian cause.
