CAIRO, Tuesday, January 05, 2021 (WAFA) – Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi stressed today the need for a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian cause.
The Egyptian President affirmed during a meeting in Cairo with the US Secretary of the Treasury Steven Terner Mnuchin, Egypt's firm stance towards the Palestinian issue, and the need to reach a just and comprehensive solution that guarantees the rights of the Palestinian people and the establishment of the Palestinian state based on international references, the Egyptian Presidency said in a statement.
Sisi also stressed that the Palestinian cause is the core of the Middle East issues, adding that resolving this cause will change the reality of the region for the better; through opening new horizons of cooperation at the regional level and undermining terrorism and extremist ideology.
The meeting reviewed the developments of the Palestinian cause, ways to revive the peace process as well as a number of regional files, the statement said.
