LA PAZ, Saturday, October 31, 2020 (WAFA) - Bolivian President-elect Luis Arce today affirmed his country’s strong position in support of the Palestinian cause at all international and local forums.

He said during a meeting with Palestine’s ambassador to Bolivia, Mahmoud Alwani, at his office in La Paz that the way to peace in the Middle East is in the establishment of a Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital as per international law and United Nations resolutions.

He also expressed interest in activating the joint cooperation agreement signed between the Bolivian and Palestinian foreign ministers.

Alwani briefed the Bolivian president-elect on the latest in Palestine, particularly the call by President Mahmoud Abba to convene an international peace conference by the start of next year.
