WASHINGTON, Tuesday, September 15, 2020 (WAFA) - More than 50 US, Palestinian, Arab, and Islamic organizations held today evening a demonstration in front of the White House in Washington coinciding with the signing of normalization agreements with Israel by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Bahrain.
Demonstrators affirmed their rejection of normalization with the Israeli occupation as long as the Palestinian people remain under Israeli occupation, aggression, and colonialism.
Chairman of the Palestinian American Council (PAC), Ghassan Barakat said that this protest is aimed at rejecting the conspiracy against the Palestinian people; their cause, and national rights, slamming the involvement of some Arab countries as an offense to the nationalism of the Palestinian cause.
He said that the timing of the demonstration came to draw the attention of the world and the media covering the signing of the normalization agreement to the suffering of the Palestinian people as a result of injustice, displacement, killings, and theft of their natural resources by the Israeli occupation state.
“Our message to the signatories of the agreements is that the Palestinian flag will not fall, and the Palestinian issue will continue the struggle until the liberation of Palestine,” he said.
