RAMALLAH, Monday, September 14, 2020 (WAFA) - The overall Consumer Price Index (CPI) for Palestine during August slightly increased by 0.03% compared with July, today said the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS).
The CPI increased by 0.29% in Jerusalem, and by 0.20% in Gaza Strip, while it slightly decreased by 0.08% in the West Bank.
When compared with August 2019, CPI during August 2020 decreased by 2.42%, it said.
The decrease was by 2.67% in the West Bank, by 2.10% in Gaza Strip, and by 0.45% in Jerusalem.
The changes in Palestinian CPI for August were traced back to changes in prices of the following expenditure subgroups compared with the previous month:
