TULKARM, Wednesday, September 09, 2020 (WAFA) – A 48-year-old Palestinian woman and a 3-day old infant were killed today in a road accident in the north of the West Bank, according to Palestinian police.
Six people were also injured, two of them reported in critical condition, in the same self-driving car crash that took place east of the city of Tulkarm, said Louai Irzeiqat, the police spokesman.
Some of the injured were transported to hospitals inside Israel due to the seriousness of their condition.
In another car accident also in the north of the West Bank, two people were killed and three others were injured, according to Irzeiqat.
He said the second accident, which occurred shortly after the first one, happened between two cars on a road north of Ramallah.
Two people who were critically injured were taken to Ramallah hospital where they were declared dead.
Police opened an investigation into both incidents, said the spokesman.
