RAMALLAH, Saturday, September 05, 2020 (WAFA0 – The United States is blackmailing nations into supporting its pro-Israeli occupation policies, today said the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates.

The Ministry was referring to an announcement by US President Donald Trump that the governments of Serbia and Kosovo had agreed to open their embassies in Jerusalem and normalize relations with Israel.

While describing the Serbian and Kosovo move as "a blatant and unjustified aggression against the Palestinian people, their cause and their just and legitimate national rights," the Foreign Ministry stressed that the US announcement "is further evidence that the Trump Administration is using its weight and influence to blackmail states into bowing to its dictates and foreign policy, which is totally biased towards the (Israeli) occupation and its policies."

The Foreign Ministry asked its ambassadors in these states to demand an official clarification regarding this declaration and to demand a reversal of this position."
