RAMALLAH, Thursday, September 03, 2020 (WAFA) - The overall Industrial Production Index (IPI) in Palestine increased by 6.76% in July compared to June, today said the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS).

The increase in IPI for July was due to the sharp increase in the activities of Electricity, Gas, Steam and Air Conditioning Supply by 21.43%, which had a share of 11.95% of the total industry, the activities of Water Supply, Sewerage, Waste Management and Remediation by 7.09%, which had a share of 2.39% of the total industry, and the activities of Manufacturing Industry by 5.22%, which had a share of 82.98% of the total industry.

Meanwhile, the activities of Mining and Quarrying decreased by 11.03%, which had a share of 2.68% of the total industry.
