RAMALLAH, Friday, August 28, 2020 (WAFA) – Weather today is hot to extremely hot and clear with a noticeable rise in temperature, approaching 3°C above the seasonal average, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department.
Winds are light to moderate and occasionally gusty, northwesterly to northeasterly. Sea waves are low.
Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 32°C and a low of 22°C and in Ramallah and Hebron, a high of 31°C and a low of 21°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley, temperature is expected to reach a high of 42°C and a low of 28°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 32°C and a low of 25°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.
Another significant rise in temperature is expected on Saturday, reaching around 8°C above the seasonal average.
Temperature rises further on Sunday reaching a peak of 8°C above the seasonal average. Therefore, weather is going to be extremely hot.
People are warned against direct exposure to sunlight for long period, particularly from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, as well as against setting fire to dry grass.
