RAMALLAH, Thursday, August 27, 2020 (WAFA) – Palestine last night recorded two new novel coronavirus fatalities, raising the death toll in the occupied territories to 156.
The Health Ministry announced in a press release that a 60-year-old Gaza cancer patient and a 76-year-old man from Idna town in the West Bank, have died due to the highly contagious virus.
According to the latest coronavirus data, the confirmed cases in the occupied territories (West Bank, including East Jerusalem, and Gaza) reached 26,764.
Out of the 26,764 cases, 20,040 are recorded in the West Bank, 115 in the Gaza Strip, and 6,609 in East Jerusalem.
Recoveries have totaled 18,494, including 4,565 in Jerusalem, and the death toll reached 156, leaving a total of 8,114 active cases.
