RAMALLAH, Thursday, August 27, 2020 (WAFA) – Weather today is partly cloudy to clear and mild in mountainous districts and relatively hot in other districts with a slight drop in temperature to become around the seasonal average, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department.

Wind is light to moderate, westerly to northwesterly wind and occasionally active. Sea waves are low.

Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 29°C and a low of 19°C and in Ramallah and Hebron, a high of 28°C and a low of 18°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley, temperature is expected to reach a high of 39°C and a low of 26°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 30°C and a low of 23°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

Friday’s temperature is expected to significantly rise and approach 3°C above the seasonal average.

Another significant rise in temperature is expected on Saturday and Sunday, reaching around 8°C above the seasonal average, said the PMD, which warned people against direct exposure to sunlight for long period, particularly from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, as well as against setting fire to dry grass.
