Palestine records three COVID-19 fatalities; 150 in total

RAMALLAH, Tuesday, August 25, 2020 (WAFA) – Palestine last night recorded three novel coronavirus fatalities in the West Bank, raising the death toll since the pandemic outbreak in March to 150.

Health Ministry announced that three COVID-19 patients; one aged 72 and the others aged 83, from the Hebron-district towns of Dura and Yatta have died of the disease.

According to the latest coronavirus data, the confirmed coronavirus cases in the occupied territories (West Bank, including East Jerusalem, and Gaza) reached 25,577.

Out of the 25,577 cases, 19,104 are recorded in the West Bank, 109 in the Gaza Strip, and 6,364 in East Jerusalem.

Recoveries have totaled 16,210, accounting for 63.4 percent of the total cases since the pandemic outbreak, and the death toll reached 150, accounting for 0.6 percent of the total cases.

This leaves a total of 9,217 active cases, accounting for 36 percent of the total cases.
