RAMALLAH, Friday, August 21, 2020 (WAFA) – Palestine Friday recorded a new novel coronavirus fatality, raising the death toll in the occupied territories to 132.
The Health Ministry announced that a 68-year-old man from Nablus district died due to the virus.
Thursday evening, the ministry announced that a 71-year-old COVID-19 patient from Dura town, south of Hebron, succumbed to his injury.
According to the latest coronavirus data, the confirmed cases in the occupied territories (West Bank, including East Jerusalem, and Gaza) reached 23,939.
Out of the 23,939 cases, 17,872 are recorded in the West Bank, 117 in the Gaza Strip and 5,950 in East Jerusalem.
Recoveries have totaled 14,730, including 4,048 in Jerusalem, and the death toll reached 132, leaving a total of 9,077 active cases.
