RAMALLAH, Wednesday, August 19, 2020 (WAFA) – Weather today is hot in mountainous districts and very hot in other districts with a temperature slightly above the annual average, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).
Wind is light to moderate, southwesterly to northwesterly, occasionally active and sea waves are low.
Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 30°C and a low of 18°C and in Ramallah and Hebron, a high of 29°C and a low of 17°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley, temperature is expected to reach a high of 40°C and a low of 26°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 30°C and a low of 22°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.
No significant change in weather conditions is expected on Thursday.
Friday and Saturday’s temperature is expected to slightly drop to become around the annual average, said the PMD, which warned people against direct exposure to sunlight for long hours, particularly from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and setting fire to dry grass.
