RAMALLAH, Sunday, August 16, 2020 (WAFA) – Weather today is abundantly sunny and relatively hot in mountainous districts and hot to very hot in other districts during the day with no change in temperature, which remains 3°C above the seasonal average, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Winds are light to moderate, westerly to northwesterly, and occasionally active. Sea waves are low.

Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 32°C and a low of 21°C and in Ramallah and Hebron, a high of 31°C and a low of 20°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley, temperature is expected to reach a high of 42°C and a low of 27°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 32°C and a low of 24°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

No change in temperature or weather conditions is likely on Monday. However, a slight drop in temperature is expected for Tuesday, with no changes on Wednesday.

People are warned against direct exposure to sunlight for long hours, particularly from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and against setting fire to dry grass.
