RAMALLAH, Thursday, August 06, 2020 (WAFA) - The overall Industrial Production Index (IPI) in Palestine sharply increased by 29.06% compared to May mainly due to the sharp increase in the activities of Manufacturing Industry by 30.93%, which had a share of 82.98% of the total industry, today said the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS).

The steep rise was also due to the increase in the activities of Electricity, Gas, Steam and Air Conditioning Supply by 25.43%, which had a share of 11.95% of the total industry, the activities of Water Supply, Sewerage, Waste Management and Remediation by 10.40%, which had a share of 2.39% of the total industry, and the activities of Mining and Quarrying increased by 3.77%, which had a share of 2.68% of the total industry, said PCBS.
