Weather: Very hot during Eid al-Adha holiday
Very hot conditions in Palestine today with temperature above average by six degrees.

RAMALLAH, Thursday, July 30, 2020 (WAFA) – The heatwave that hit Palestine over the past few days is expected to continue through the four-day Eid Al-Adha holiday, that starts tomorrow, until the end of it.

Temperature is expected to become 6°C above the seasonal average today, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Wind is westerly to northwesterly, light to moderate, active at times, while sea waves are low.

Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 34°C and a low of 20°C and in Ramallah and Hebron, a high of 33°C and a low of 19°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley, temperature is expected to reach a high of 42°C and a low of 26°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 33°C and a low of 23°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

A slight drop in temperature is expected tomorrow, Friday, the first day of Eid Al-Adha, and becomes 4°C above the seasonal average.

No change in temperature or weather conditions are expected for Saturday and Sunday, said the PMD, which warned people against direct exposure to sunlight for long period, particularly from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and setting fire to dry grass areas.
