RAMALLAH, Friday, July 24, 2020 (WAFA) – Weather today is mainly clear and relatively hot in mountainous districts and very hot in other districts in daytime with a slight drop in temperature which approaches 3°C above the seasonal average, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Weather tonight is mild in mountainous districts and relatively hot in other districts. Light to moderate westerly to northwesterly wind blows. Sea waves are low.

Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 31°C and a low of 21°C and in Ramallah and Hebron, a high of 30°C and a low of 20°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley, temperature is expected to reach a high of 39°C and a low of 27°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 31°C and a low of 23°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

Mainly clear and hot to very hot conditions are set to prevail on Saturday in daytime and mild to relatively hot conditions in nighttime with a slight rise in temperature.

Sunday’s temperature is set to significantly raise and approach 8°C, paving the way to dry and very hot conditions.

Monday’s temperature is set to slightly drop, but the heavy heat stress continues to prevail.

PMD warns people against direct exposure to the sunlight for long period, especially from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and setting fire to dry grassy areas.
