RAMALLAH, Thursday, July 23, 2020 (WAFA) – Palestine last night recorded two new COVID-19 fatalities, raising the total death toll in the occupied territories since the pandemic outbreak to 69.
The Health Ministry announced that a 66-year-old woman died due to the highly contagious virus from Hebron district, the current epicenter of the pandemic in the occupied territories.
The ministry announced earlier that a 44-year-old woman from Hebron city has also died of the virus.
According to the latest coronavirus data, the confirmed cases in the occupied territories (West Bank, including East Jerusalem, and Gaza) reached 11,279 since the pandemic outbreak.
Out of the 11,279 cases, 9,323 are in the West Bank, 75 in the Gaza Strip and 1,881 in East Jerusalem.
Recoveries have totaled 2,124, including 1,950 in the West Bank and Gaza and 174 in East Jerusalem, leaving a total of 9,086 active cases.
