RAMALLAH, Thursday, July 23, 2020 (WAFA) – Weather today is mainly clear and hot to very hot in daytime with a rise in temperature which approaches 4°C above the seasonal average, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Weather tonight is mild in mountainous districts and relatively hot in other districts. Light to moderate westerly to northwesterly wind blows. Sea waves are low.

Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 33°C and a low of 22°C and in Ramallah and Hebron, a high of 32°C and a low of 21°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley, temperature is expected to reach a high of 41°C and a low of 28°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 34°C and a low of 24°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

Friday’s temperature is set to slightly drop, causing a slight relief in the heat stress.

Mainly clear and hot to very hot conditions are set to prevail on Saturday in daytime and mild to relatively hot conditions in nighttime with a slight rise in temperature.

Sunday’s temperature is set to significantly raise and approach 7°C, causing the heat stress to intensify.

PMD warns people against direct exposure to the sunlight for long period, especially from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
