RAMALLAH, Wednesday, July 22, 2020 (WAFA) – Weather today is mainly clear and hot in mountainous districts and very hot in the Jordan Valley in daytime with steady temperature which remains 3°C above the seasonal average, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Weather tonight is clear and mild in mountainous districts and relatively hot in other districts. Light to moderate westerly to northwesterly wind blows. Sea waves are low.

Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 32°C and a low of 21°C and in Ramallah and Hebron, a high of 31°C and a low of 20°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley, temperature is expected to reach a high of 40°C and a low of 27°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 33°C and a low of 23°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

Thursday’s temperature is set to slightly rise, paving the way to clear and hot to very hot conditions in daytime and mild to relatively hot in nighttime.

Friday’s temperature is set to slightly drop, causing a slight relief in the heat stress.

No significant change is expected in the weather conditions on Saturday.

PMD warns people against direct exposure to the sunlight for long period, especially from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
