Revava Settlers Set up Caravans on Deir Istia before Sunday Deadline

NABLUS, September 25 (WAFA) – Tens of Acers of Deir Istia lands were seized by the Revava settlers, setting up a number of caravans on it.

On Sunday, Israel’s 10-month moratorium on building settlements in the West Bank is set to expire. The settlers seize this opportunity to restart their activities in the Palestinian lands.

The Mayor of Deir Istia Nazmi Salman said that the owners of the lands in Wadi Abu Saida in the western side of town were surprised by the etrection of more than 20 caravans on cultivated lands owned by the heirs of Mansour Othman Abu Nasser, Ahmed Sheikh Abdel Haq.

According to the Israeli Peace Now movement reports, Revava settlement showed deployment during the alleged period of settlement freeze

 An official in a Israeli human rights organization revealed that local councils in the settlements will open their doors despite the holiday, to have new construction permits for expanding settlements in West Bank.

The Director of fieldwork in Rabbis for Human Rights Zakaria El -Sdeh said that there are preparations from these councils to approve on largest number of settlements construction in the West Bank until late tomorrow, while many websites belong to the settlements broadcasted releases in this regard.
