President Emphasizes Need to Stop Settlements if Negotiations Were to Continue

NEW YORK,  September 22, 2010 (WAFA)- President Mahmoud Abbas, emphasized the need to stop Israeli settlement activities in Palestinian territory if the peace negotiations were to continue and succeed.

Presidency Spokesperson Nabil Abu Rdainah Condemned Israel's assassination of citizen Samer Sarhan today in Jerusalem, criticizing the practices of the occupation army and terrorism perpetrated by Israeli settlers. He said: 'This escalation shows the need to oblige Israel to cease its repressive practices and to cease all settlement activities.'
