President Abbas: Resumption of Negotiations Conditioned to Freezing Colonization & Accepting Two-State Solution

RAMALLAH, June 29, 2009 (WAFA)- President Mahmoud Abbas said, today, that resuming negotiations with Israel is conditioned to freezing all colonization activities and to Israel accepting the Two-State solution.

 

During laying the milestone of Al-Rayhan residential suburb in Abu Qash north of Ramallah, the President stressed that Palestinian National Authority recognize the state of Israel within the borders of 1967.

 

He added, “We declared to the Israeli side the consent of the Arab and Islamic countries to normalize relations, provided its withdrawal from the Palestinian Territory and the Golan Heights and Shebaa.”

 

He explained that the Fateh delegation, headed to Cairo having received strict instructions to ensure the success of the Palestinian national dialogue, stressing that the division among our people must end, so that we can tell the world: 'We deserve an independent Palestinian state.”

 

Mr. President, and that the Palestinian National Authority committed to the first item of the road map, and the Israeli government had not done so, calling on each party to adhere to the conventions that have been signed.
