WASHINGTON, April 29, 2009 (WAFA)- American President Barack Obama, renewed his commitment to peace in the Middle East, in a letter to the Israelis on the occasion of the anniversary of the establishment of the state of Israel (the Palestinian Nakba).

The White House said, in a statement issued, last night, that, “the President looks forward to working with Israel to advance our common interests, including the realization of a comprehensive peace in the Middle East, and strengthening the bilateral relationship, over the months and years to come.”
