HEBRON, April 6, 2009 (WAFA)- Israeli soldiers and the Ma’on colony security guard took three Palestinian boys, aged 10, 11, and 14, from Juwayya village near hebron, and transported them to the nearby Ma’on colony. Soldiers delivered the children to six masked colonizers who beat the children, kicking and punching them.
The children arrived back in their village, an hour later, after the settlers allowed them to leave and walk home, alone, through the hills.
Earlier the same day colonizers shot at a teenage Palestinian shepherd as he grazed his sheep near Juwayya. This is the second time colonizers have shot at Juwayya citizens over the last ten days.
On 25 March, twenty Jewish colonizers left Ma’on and shot at Palestinian shepherds grazing their sheep on land belonging to the village of Juwayya. During the incident, four Israeli soldiers and the security guard of the Ma’on were present and did not interfere. The shepherds refused to leave their land, despite the danger.
According to the Geneva Conventions, the International Court of Justice in The Hague, and numerous United Nations resolutions, all Israeli colonies in the Occupied Palestinian Territory are illegal. Most colonial outposts are considered illegal under Israeli law.
